Amy Vail has been designing environments for more than two decades. Her experience includes display windows, film sets, adaptive reuse projects for historic buildings, corporate events, branded environments, landscapes and personalized designs for residential and commercial interiors.
Her approach to design is based on research and observation that leads to an analytical solution highlighting the unique story that roots every brand, business and individual. She is inspired by spaces that juxtapose rawness with elegance and where historic architecture is elevated by modern details.
Amy earned her B.A. from Marquette University and her M.A. with highest honors from the prestigious Harrington College of Design in Chicago, where she was privileged to study under architect Constantine Vasilios, a protege of renowned post-modernist Charles Moore. She is a LEED Accredited Green Associate and is thrilled to have joined the design team at Trans-Pacific Design in Waimea, Hawaii.
